Dougies Bar and Grill in Otsego

Stopped in for breakfast on Sunday. The only thing impressive is the remodel... Where to begin... warm Orange juice, burnt & hard waffles and couldn't make them soft with the little container of syrup for the 2 waffles. Only time the waitress asked how everything was going was when she was going to give us our bill. When burnt waffles were mentioned and shown (still on my plate, not eaten) to the waitress, her response "oh that's not fun" and hands us the bill and talk about awkward having her stand there while we have to use her tablet to pay.

The atmosphere is very chill and friendly. The wait time is relatively short although the food is somewhat bland. I went for breakfast and I got 3 pancakes, bacon, and a half order of biscuits and gravy (which was still relatively large). The pancakes where small and bland and they had small bits or hashbrown in them from the cook making other peoples orders. The bacon was extremely chewy and had pools of excess grease on them when they were served to me. The biscuts were dry, crumbly, and almost tasteless. The gravy was extremely sweet and put me off somewhat. The presentation of the food was sloppy and careless, it looked like they just threw it together and didnt care about how it looked. My grandmother ordered the corn beef hash and she was underwhelmed with it. She said the best part of the meal was her egg. I say keep trying to improve the menu and keep in mind that some people want to have a somewhat savory breakfast and don't want their gravy to taste like frosting.

Delicious lunch- sandwich and sweet potato waffle fries were perfect! Kids portion sizes were generous and many options. Will be back again!

Service is really, really slow. Food was good, except for the prime rib. Affordable prices.

Do NOT bother stopping here for lunch. Their services is one of the slowest I have seen in a long time. Since sitting down (more than 35 minutes ago) we JUST got out order taken. We watched more than one group come in and sit down only to leave 10-15 minutes later after getting no attention. Also They seem to have no heat. It IS FREEZING IN HERE. A

Great people, great atmosphere, good intentions but slow service, hard to wait 40mins for a margarita.

Here at Dougie's soft opening. Lots of beer options. Had some Zombie Killer by B Nectar and a Vander Mill Blue Gold. Lots of local support by Dougie's!

Service was a joke. Sat there 20 minutes before someone noticed us getting ready to leave. Owner sat drinking at bar whole time.. several people standing around lost

BUSINESS IS CLOSEDDougie's had a large menu of delicious food. The beer menu was just as big. Great employees with a pleasant smile. Definitely going back until they closed.Update on Dougie's - Sorry to say, but the business has closed down just a short time after opening. Not gonna go into politics, but I will say, the city did them no favors.

I’ve gone here twice for breakfast in two days. The food is great, the atmosphere is awesome. The service is a bit slow so expect a wait but it’s definitely worth the wait.

Husband and I went here for date night, figured we would try it. Service was great, interior was great, and drink selection was great. The burger had a few problems, might want to consider adding some more flavor and also, tweak your meat calibration because we ordered medium, and it came out well done. The veggies were fresh, and the steak fries and also the sweet potato fries were amazing. The cookie dessert, it fell short. Might want to consider adding some more vanilla extract and ease up on the flour, and also give it a min or two less in the oven. We come from a state, Texas, where meat is EVERYTHING. If it weren't for these things, just for the others things, it would be an absolute 5 star rating. The service was willing to fix everything, very friendly, so, just thought to give a few pointers. Not knocking you at all. So far, pretty good!

Wasnt to happy tonight with service. Waited for appetizers for almost 40 minutes when we got them it was only half ,they said they put down the other half for us and we would get them free. Never did , they were on our bill. Then my boyfriend ordered his burger well done ate half and realized it was raw in the center. They gave him it half off and a coupon for a free appetizer. I took my son in law there for his bday along with my daughter it was their first time there. Waited way to Long for meals I felt. Was told they were short staffed. I'm sorry but I wasnt pleased this time. Bragged it up the last two visits. Will think twice to go there on a Saturday night again.

Deliciousness with unbeatable prices. We also feel confident that we're truly supporting both our country and community while enjoying our lunch or dinner. I should also mention that it's very clean with a wonderful atmosphere that just about anyone would be comfortable with.

Service needs to be more efficient. Sometimes takes 25 minutes before a server even takes your order. Dougie's has announced they have closed their doors. Please remove from your list of restaurants in the.restaurant area

Went to a private pre-opening and we had great beer, great appetizers, and wonderful service! Cannot wait to come back for the full menu!

I was here on a Tuesday night. I ordered a steak. It was cooked perfectly but it came with a knife slightly Sharper then a butter knife and I had to saw my steak into pieces. Bar tender Josh was very attentive and had no problem correcting drink issues. Overall a good first visit. Get real steak knives please. I don't care if my steak knife matches the rest of my silverware. I do care that it slices thru steak without leaving all the juicy goodness on my plate... Maybe it's just me tho...lol.

Had lunch today food was above average. The kitchen is very slow. It wasn't very busy and it took over 40 minutes to get our food. A BLT and a Burger.

Relaxed atmosphere. Great food. Not the fastest service, but laid back (not intrusive). We had good conversations with the owner's Dad, our waitress, and each other. We'll be back...with friends and family.

A group of 10 people went on a Tues. night. The owner sat at the bar drinking and eating and not visiting customers to see if everything was sufficient. The service is bad...we had 1 waitress and 5 waitresses were standing at the bar doing nothing ( you would think others would help). The food was good but checking out was a nightmare with the I-pads you use, our waitress had to ask everyone of us what we had so she could figure out the bill properly, the service staff needs to be more efficient on the computers. From start to finish our experience was at least 2 hours...unacceptable!!! Not sure I will be back.

My husband and I have been in for lunch 3 times and have had great food and service each time. The deep fried dill pickle spears are the best I’ve ever had! We plan to make it a weekly habit.

Pros: excellent waitress, received food quicklyCons: food really not very good, cold pancakes, menu layout, cold inside building.Would probably only give 2 stars, but the waitress was very kind and attentive so she bumps it up a star. We will definitely not visit again for breakfast, and we are unsure if we will give them a chance for lunch/dinner.

The food was excellent. The service was very friendly and awesome. We loved that Jared went around to all tables and checked on us all. Very reasonable priced. Definitely will be going back and recommending Dougie's to all our friends.

4 of us gals decided to try out Dougies for our monthly get together. Great service, food ok. Wanted to order a glass of wine, don't have it by the glass so saw they had fresh squeezed juices so ordered a vodka grapefruit, that one brought over the bartender, could believe I didn't want water or something else in my drink, very confused about my order, obviously a new to bartending gal. Lol. We'll try again!!
